So down here in the southern hemisphere, it is warming up while the spring blossoms are blooming and while summer is drawing near. Which means there is a constant need for a cool, delicious and refreshing drink, like a fruit smoothie.
More specifically a strawberry and banana smoothie!!!
So without any further adieu, lets get started:
Ingredients
- 2 punnets of strawberries
- 2 bananas
- 1 orange
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Optional: plain double cream yoghurt
How to make a strawberry and banana smoothie
The first step is to chop or slice the fruit into smaller pieces so that the chunk do not block the blades in the blender. Don’t forget the cinnamon!
The second step is to blend all the ingredients together. The finally consistency should be smooth and quite liquid. Please notes there will be a texture to it due to the orange.
This step is optional, but if you would like a creamier texture; you can add a few table spoon of plain double cream yoghurt.
Give it a final blend to just mix the yoghurt in properly.
The final step is to chill, serve and enjoy! ; )
Last Notes
I know that I chill the smoothie at the end but you have the option of either freezing the fruits that you have chopped or adding ice into the blender when you mix everything up.
Also I do not suggest storing this smoothie, so do serve it immediately (unless you are chilling it just before serving of course)
